Greetings!

The foundation stone of our company, "The Trekkers' Society (P.) Ltd," was laid in 2002.  From its inception, we devoted ourselves to operating tours to Kailash-Mansarovar and central Tibet (Lhasa & its vicinity). Fortunately, we grasped the opportunity to enter in Helicopter tour operation in 2006. We joined a Mumbai-based company to begin this new endeavor, one that few have tried.  Now, we have opened an alternative route to Kailash-Manasarovar for Shiva's followers. Since then, our company has been operating this project smoothly and safely.
Our website: 'www.kailashhelicoptertours.com' is dedicated on Kailash-Manasarovar Yatra (tour) by Helicopter. However, we have also offered some alternative programs (Kailash overland : 14 days & Kailash tour from Lhasa: 16 days) in the site. As well, some additional programs inside Nepal; Muktinath tour, Damodar Kunda & Gosai Kunda, are given as an extension options.

Initially, we organized Kailash-Manasarovar Helicopter tour based on MI17 Helicopter (made by Kazan Company - Russia), which was capable of carrying 24 passengers at a time. Later on, companies from Nepal decided to send all their MI17 helicopters to Afghanistan for transporting food & logistics for NATO & American troops. Since then, we are using B2 and B3 French Euro helicopters, which are capable of carrying only 4 & 5 persons at a time, respectively. So, practically saying, we have to make shuttle-flights (number of shuttle depends on group size) to bring passengers from one place to another.
We deploy a team of professional staff in Kailash, each staff having an experience of not less than a decade. They are dependable and responsible, so you can trust in being well taken care of. While with us, you are in safe hands. During the course of this journey, you may face some problems (health OR anything else), our staff will help you & take care of you to the best of our ability.

Our main base of operation is Taklakot (also called 'Purang'); where we have our own temporary office. All our operation team of staff will be based in there for three months (May, June & July). They will join you from Taklakot to Taklakot. Beside, a manager from our Kathmandu office (head office) will be accompanying you for the entire journey.

Our cook has an extensive knowledge of preparing Indian cuisines, but due to the limited commodities that we can purchase in Taklakot, we have to bring almost everything from Nepal including milk powder, tea, sugar, cooking oil, spices, rice, flour, some vegetables. etc., so we can serve you only the major Indian dishes. We provide only vegetarian foods during this Holy Yatra. We don't allow non-vegetarian foods in our kitchen.
We will never try to conceal the truth from our clients. This is a life-time journey, but it is very basic & adventurous one. You are spending an excessive amount of money for making this tour happen, but in compare of what you are paying, you are getting very less. This journey is NOT A LUXURIOUS HOLIDAY; it is a very basic pilgrimage, so you can't expect any luxurious service in the tour.
Once you are out of Kathmandu, you will not find services or accommodation of the same quality. In Kathmandu, your accommodation will be arranging in a 4 stars OR 5 stars hotel, but when you are out of Kathmandu, you have to compromise because there are no hotels or guesthouses with modern amenities. In Taklakot, we can provide you with a good hotel with a western toilet attached in the room. But after Taklakot, everywhere there will be a dormitory room (5 to 6 bedded) in a guesthouse (Mud-house) with a Tibetan toilet outside. However, we will try to facilitate you by putting toilet tent, which is far better than a Tibetan toilet.

Also, we may have to face the weather problems while flying to and from Simikot or to Hilsa. The flight in between Nepalgunj and Simikot can be cancelled or delayed. The weather is beyond our control, so we may have to wait for a day or so before resuming our journey.

The majority of your money goes directly to the Chinese government, even though they render very limited service to us. They only provide travel permit, Land Cruiser (1 Land Cruiser for 4 persons) , a truck to bring our foods and equipment, yaks during the circumambulation around Kailash and a couple of nights hotel in Kailash. Beside this, we have to organize everything from Nepal. The Chinese government is very rigid: TAKE IT, OR LEAVE IT, so we cannot have high expectations. Despite the strict Chinese government regulations, we will try our best to make this journey a life-time memory and provide the best possible service from our side.
The pride of the company is our satisfied clients, so we will try our level best to provide the best possible services & make this journey a successful one. We are committed to our name and reputation, and keep our promises.
